Bart has a lot of drive, energy and passion for excellence in all he does. He thrives on big challenges and stretch targets.

He is a workout fanatic and is a fan of athletics, particularly running and also cycling.

As an executive supply chain leader for more than 25 years, Bart has a proven track record of success across several key SC functions such as Planning, Engineering, Technology Transfers, Project Management, Continuous Improvement, Mfg Operations, and General SC Management in Asia, Europe, and North America.

During his career in pharma, OTC, consumer goods, and logistics/ material handling, Bart has managed large supply networks, has acquired and divested operations, build new plants but also has overseen the closure of plants, and has developed & executed a three year Consent Decree Work Plan including the successful re-certification of three US OTC manufacturing plants by FDA

In his current role as the Vice President, Product Supply Strategy & Deployment, Bart is responsible for developing and deploying innovative processes, systems and technologies to improve product supply from raw materials, through the manufacturing, to distribution.

Bart is also establishing a J&J Supply Chain Academy to provide enterprise-wide subject-matter learning & development and build differentiating capabilities for the E2E supply chain.

He and his wife live in Skillman, NJ and have two sons in college.

1996 – Senior Manager, Productivity & Packaging Engineering for Janssen, Belgium.

1999 – Director Process Excellence for European Pharmaceutical Operations, Belgium.

2002 – General Manager, Pharmaceutical Operations, Schaffhausen Plant, Switzerland, where he also has built J&J’s first internal lyophilization (freeze- drying) facility.

2005 – Pharmaceutical Operations Europe, VP for Area Operations, Belgium, Italy, Switzerland, France, Ireland.

2008 – VP, Consumer End-to-End Supply Chain Asia Pacific, Singapore.

2011 – VP, Supply Chain Worldwide Nutritionals, NA OTC, and Global Strategic Franchise Operations, New Jersey.

2012 – VP, Supply Chain North America OTC, where he developed & executed a three year Consent Decree Work Plan including the successful re-certification of three mfg. plants by FDA, Pennsylvania.
